Hi !
I can't believe how summer flew by. Before we move into the period of pumpkin spice everything, we're taking the rest of August to reflect and recharge personally as we also celebrate and recommit to the work we do everyday to be impactful in the world.
This Month's Highlights
Black Business Month is here! We’re celebrating the incredible innovation and resilience of Black entrepreneurs. It's a core part of our mission at IFEL to build pathways for economic opportunity and generational wealth, so this is a month-long celebration for us.
On Women's Equality Day, we're reminded that the fight for gender equity is far from over. We look forward to joining with our sisters in the fight for equality at the 5th Annual Power Up Concert and Conference, August 26, 2025 led by Gloria Feldt, Co-Founder & President of Take the Lead.
And since we can’t pour from an empty cup (especially when we’re so busy!), it's also National Wellness Month. Remember to prioritize self-care. Take a walk, get some rest, or just take a moment between meetings to breathe.
In August we also recognize National Financial Awareness Day 💰 (August 4), National Middle Child Day 👧🧒 (August 12), National Book Lovers Day 📖 (August 9), National Nonprofit Day ☮️ (August 17), and National Dog Day 🐶 (August 26).
Take a look below at the many opportunities we offer to increase your financial knowledge (learn about angel investing), support Black and women-owned businesses, and support a nonprofit (yes, a shameless plug for our volunteer opportunities). We have a great book recommendation from the Show Her The Money crew, and we salute our furry friends beloved by IFEL team members.
Find ways to celebrate and support the issues and causes you care about. Let's keep showing up for ourselves and each other. Together, we can make a difference. 💚💚
- Jill & the IFEL Team
